The Environment
Coffey Engineering and Surveying’s earth-friendly approach.
Coffey Engineering & Surveying
understands the importance of balancing the needs of people and the
environment. The company is committed to supporting smart, sustainable land
development in the Rocky Mountain West, and is leading by example in Laramie with the urban
redevelopment of its new eco-friendly office building.
In 2009 Coffey invested in and renovated a 1960s-era service station at 902 South Third Street in Laramie to serve as its new headquarters. Large service bays enabled Coffey to provide concrete materials engineering services at the office, which reduces carbon emissions generated by driving to off-site facilities for this testing. Top priorities in re-constructing our new building were to be as energy efficient as possible, and use the least amount of resources we could. Natural lighting plays an important role in the overall design of our beautiful building, and earth-friendly products are used for many finishes throughout our environmentally engineered building.
Coffey is currently pursuing LEED certification to ensure the company meets the needs of clients and the planet for a sustainable future.
