Dave Coffey, P.E., L.S.

A third-generation owner of Coffey Engineering & Surveying, Dave Coffey has led the company since 2004. As a former college basketball player, Dave knows how to lead a team and create an aggressive offense for his client. He’s a proven supervisor with a knack for hiring the best of the best, getting his boots on site and exceeding customer expectations.

His professional engineering and surveying experience spans 13 years, and includes civil engineering design and geotechnical investigations, project planning and management, construction materials testing, land development services, drafting, contract administration, subsurface exploration and well installation. Dave’s surveying knowledge encompasses construction staking, as well as conducting volume, topographic, boundary and water rights surveys.

Dave received a B.S. in Civil Engineering from the Colorado School of Mines, and is both a registered professional engineer and land surveyor.

Michael Lang, P.L.S.

Directly responsible for professional offices over the last 19 years, Michael leads the engineering and survey consulting teams. With his thoughtful attention to client management, proposal presentations, and complicated budget management, Michael ensures projects exceed expectations in every way.

As a licensed land surveyor in Colorado, Michael provides expertise in boundary, property, and riparian cases. His professional experience includes large-scale projects in energy and land development, as well as a broad mix of commercial, industrial, residential and mixed-use site development.

Tim Stamp

Business Development Director

Since 2008, Tim has been responsible for developing and implementing Coffey’s business growth plan, as well as creating and managing strategic partnerships and alliances. He brings more than 15 years of economic development experience and success to the team.

It would take a forest to print a full description of Tim’s business acumen and to list the professional connections he brings to each client’s project. Tim has a thorough understanding of zoning, permitting, and how communities review and approve projects, and he can quickly identify economic development challenges, trends, opportunities and solutions.
